In Spring 2019 we moved lock, stock and barrel, to Southern France to begin a new chapter in our lives and relocate our photography business to sunnier climes. Our new home is Les Teyssonnières in the stunning Causses du Quercy Regional Park, just to the east of Cahors. As well as being an area with incredibly diverse habitats, there is so much to see and do locally, from visiting ancient bastide (fortified) villages to walking, cycling, visiting antique fairs, local produce markets and much more. It is the ideal location for a relaxing or activity-filled holiday.
The name Les Teyssonnières is derived from the old Occitan language of the region and roughly translates as 'The Badger Sett' How appropriate as the very same animal visits us nightly! The property is a former farm and sits amidst over 30 acres (12 hectares) of oak woodland and flower-filled meadows.
We will be running photography focused holidays from March 2020 with accommodation provided on site from self catering gites, the first of which is now available to book. Please take a look at the pages below to learn more about Les Teyssonnières, the surrounding area, our accommodation and the photographic and nature related activities we will be offering.
